4 players land skirmish EAW map at the Planet Rhen Var. Submitted to the EAW Map Making Contest in 2006.

This map is a ground battle on Rhen Var called Mountain Outpost.

History
Rhen Var is a frozen ice world similar to Hoth which contains ancient Jedi monuments and and buried Jedi. After the Sith war UlicQel-Droma came to Rhen Varfor refuge and is buried on the planet. The planet has ancient chambers with texts that predate the Old Republic and the Jedi Order and a superweapon is said to lie hidden in one of the chambers.

During the Galatic Civil War the Empire set up a monitoring outpost to track Rebel Fleet movements. The Rebels discovered the outpost around the time of the first Death Star battle.

The Rebels set up a base to launch an attack against the Empire at he edge of a forest and the mountains.
The Imperial base is well defended and with in the mountains.
Also a small pirate force was able to set up a base to tap into the Imperial's monitoring outpost.



Hints
Rebels
As the rebels upgrade your tech level up to three and build snow speeders to attack the imperial base and shield generators
Around the rebel base is a bunch of bottle necks to force the empire in to small lines making the base easier to defend

Empire
As the empire upgrade your tech level to gain teh AT-ATs to use against the rebels
AS long as the ground gravity generators is intact the rebels can only use non repolsorlift vehicles and snowspeeders to attack

Both
avoid the pirate base with air units or small forces because it is well defended
Also there are alot of wampas living in the area that will roam around the map
